In this project, ACT's Consortium is implementing all components of E-Bus Ticketing System with Project Value EGP: 3 Million.

 The EBT System will be implemented using four main components. The first component is the software application that will be used by the operators in the bus stations to enable them to control booking and selling of tickets from their point of sale. Also the component will provide decisions makers with all information necessary to support their business decisions and increase the management capabilities of these companies based on real-time information that will be available through the system.

 Currently one of the three HCMLT bus companies, East Delta, has a central booking application (previous implemented by ACT) that will be modernized by implementing the new application inoreder to improve the booking process and to widen the usage of capabilities.

 The second component is the internet portal that will be used by the internet users to access a website for bus ticketing reservations. Both software applications should utilize the same information stored in one centralized database. The integration with an e-payment gateway, as well as allowing Egypt Post to print and deliver the tickets to the customers, is part of the application development requirements that will be announced in a later stage.

 The third component of the total solution is the hardware infrastructure necessary for running the whole system. The H/W infrastructure will be hosted at an internet service provider (ISP) to guarantee the highest availability and security for the HCMLT and the common citizens.
